AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad (AAGI) has launched AXA SmartDrive – Sharing especially for drivers carrying e-hailing (fare-paying) passengers in Malaysia. It aims to provide e-hailing drivers with 24/7 comprehensive protection and peace of mind, whether they are driving for e-hailing services or private usage.
E-hailing services have been growing rapidly in Malaysia, with 180,000 drivers operating in the country. This number is expected to increase with the announcement in the 2018. Budget that a RM5,000 grant to buy a new car will be given to registered drivers intending to shift to e-hailing.
In supporting the government’s initiative and ensuring both e-hailing drivers and passengers are protected in the event of accidents that may result in injuries or damage to their belongings. AAGI has launched AXA SmartDrive – Sharing, a motor insurance add-on that provides e-hailing drivers with 24/7 comprehensive protection and peace of mind, whether they are driving for e-hailing services or private usage. This plan covers loss or damage to driver’s vehicle, liability to third party, legal liability to/of passenger and driver’s personal accident up to RM10,000.
Driver will also enjoy AXA’s suite of value-added services such as fast claims approval in 5 working days upon full documents submission and roadside assistance with AXA SmartDrive Assistance Plan including 24 hours hotline services, towing, 6 months repair warranty and more.
