Kuala Lumpur-Singapore is the world’s busiest air passenger flight route in 12 months to February 2018, according to travel intelligence firm OAG.
Seven carriers fly the route, namely AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Jetstar, Malindo Airways, and Scoot. Collectively, they carried 4,004,448 passengers at a 75% load factor. 58% of the planes used on the route were from the Airbus family, with the rest from Boeing.
The second busiest route flown is Hong Kong-Taipei, Jakarta-Singapore in third, Hong Kong-Shanghai Pudong placing fourth, and Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur rounding out an all-Asian top 5.
