Medical Opinion Asia to Raise RM1,000,000 via Equity Crowdfunding to Widen Patients’ Access to Credible Medical Second Opinions

Medical Opinion Asia, a specialised digital portal aimed at providing a safe, trusted and efficient means for individuals and corporates to obtain a medical second opinion from reputable medical specialists, announced today a 90-day campaign to raise RM 1,000,000 for market expansion and acceleration. The fundraising initiative is facilitated by Ata Plus, a blockchain-enhanced equity crowdfunding (ECF) platform, licensed by the Securities Commission.

Driven by the aspiration to further improve the quality of healthcare in Malaysia, Medical Opinion Asia was co-founded in 2016 by Stuart J Venner Pack and Dato’ Wei Chuan Beng. Stuart has built a lifetime career in healthcare delivery in the United Kingdom, United States of America, Singapore, and Malaysia where he has been in ‘C’ level positions in Subang Jaya Medical Centre, Gleneagles Hospital KL, and Prince Court Medical Centre; whilst Dato’ Wei is an industry veteran of 28 years in information and communications technologies (ICT), as well as having been the Group Managing Director of Bursa Malaysia-listed REDtone International Berhad and REDtone Asia Inc. They are supported by a team of reputable healthcare professionals, medical specialists, and technology experts.

“When we put together the service two years ago, it was a relatively new offering in the market, but it was a much needed one. Over the course of my career, I was asked countless times by members of the public on where they could get medical second opinions. They did not know who to turn to. Therefore, we set up Medical Opinion Asia with the purpose to help people navigate through the healthcare system especially when it is necessary for them to seek second opinions,” said Co-Founder and Managing Director of Medical Opinion Asia, Stuart J Venner Pack.fifa travelotz.malibuclub
