KUALA LUMPUR, 13 May 2019 – Public can now donate to the Malaysian Systematic Lupus Erythematosus Association (PSLEM) through online as AmBank announced its partnership with the association to enable online contributions via JomPAY recently, on 10 May 2019.
PSLEM is the country’s only organisation set up to help people suffering from Systematic Lupus Erythematosus, a disease where the patient’s body makes antibodies that attack its own tissues.
“This partnership marks the first charitable organisation in the country to collaborate with us to enable JomPAY payments, hence providing members of the public the ease of making online contributions in support of the association’s noble cause,” said Christopher Yap, the Managing Director, Business Banking of AmBank Group.
With JomPAY, PSLEM will be able to enjoy cost savings, efficiency improvements and greater convenience. The President of PSLEM, Dr Heselynn Hussein hopes to raise more donations for the association and increase public awareness on SLE disease through this partnership.
“These contributions have helped PSLEM to provide SLE patients with, among other things, free counseling services, free education programmes on SLE, and financial assistance for expensive medications, joint replacement and cataract operations, medical tests and procedures, hospitalisation expenses, wheelchairs, and transport expenses for their treatment,” she added.
JomPAY is Malaysia’s largest online biller with more than 5,000 biller codes, giving bank customers the convenience of making payments for virtually all their day-to-day bills.
