KUALA LUMPUR, 7 June 2019 – Over 2,500 agents nationwide joined Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Life) for its annual Allianz Charity Day 2019 on 25 May 2019.
As part of the event, agents from more than 100 agencies came together to participate in this event by hosting multiple charitable activities across the country simultaneously on the same day.
Besides blood donation drives, visits to orphanages, and old folks home as well as breaking fast at charity homes and the distribution of Bubur Lambuk to the public, this year featured some unique events.
Allianz Life Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Gross joined the agents from EAGLE Group for a Shoe Cutting Party at SOLEHOPE, a non-governmental organization that upcycles old jeans into shoes for children in third world countries while FOCUS agency provided donations and volunteered at the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary in Lanchang, Pahang.
Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, CSK agency took 40 orphans for a hike at Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) while members from V agency in Johor Bahru organised a charity lunch at Putuo Village, a Buddhist spiritual sanctuary.
“We hope that through these small yet meaningful charitable activities around the country, we will get to spread kindness, love, empathy and joy to those in need.” said Ong Pin Hean, Chief Sales Officer of Allianz Life.
ACP and CASB agents in Ipoh and MM2 agents in Bukit Mertajam visited orphanages and gave donations in their respective states while DOLLARZ agents in Penang visited a special children’s home and had a meet and greet session with the children.
Meanwhile in Melaka, AP and LSC agents visited the Little Lamb’s Lamp Society (Pertubuhan Pelita Anak Doba) while NEXUS agents from Kota Kinabalu held a blood donation drive at Centre Point Shopping Mall and ADF agents in Kuching took a class of special children to the movies at GSC CityONE Megamall.
