JOHOR BAHRU, 15 June 2019 – Singapore residents travelling to Johor for a shopping spree at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, one of the largest regional malls can now use their NETS (Network For Electronic Transfers (Singapore)) ATM cards for payments.
In a collaboration between NETS and GHL Systems Berhad (GHL), Singapore consumers can use their NETS ATM cards issued by Singapore banks, DBS Bank, OCBC Bank and United Overseas Bank, to make payments at more than 100 stores at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru.
Singapore residents using the NETS ATM cards in Malaysia are not required to pay currency conversion fees for their purchases and cardholders will be able to enjoy competitive exchange rates when they use the service.
To use the NETS ATM cards, consumers simply need to insert their cards into an acceptance point terminal, and key in their personal identification number (PIN) to complete their transactions.
“According to data from Tourism Malaysia, there is an estimated 11 million visits from Singapore residents to Malaysia on an annual basis. By providing greater efficiency, convenience and accessibility to make payments will further encourage them to visit our country and eventually contribute to our national economy,” said Selena Chuah, Chief Executive Officer of WCT Malls Management.
Singapore residents using their NETS ATM cards to make payments between 17 June and 31 July 2019 will be able to redeem a limited edition foldable travel bag (with a minimum spend of RM 200, across a maximum of three receipts).
Singapore residents can also get their hands on an exclusive discount booklet featuring vouchers worth over RM 2000 from the Concierge at Ground Floor.
