As the research conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia, 80% of the Malaysian business owners want to protect the family business and 73% want to ensure the business stays in the family.
The most important reason is Malaysian lack of solid legacy planning as the business owners assume that their children will succeed them but fail to have open discussions about each party expectations which is often lead to internal conflicts.
