Kuala Lumpur, 25 July 2019 – The Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) together with its technology partners, Elytron (Asia Pacific) Sdn. Bhd., Trinity Business Solution and Astiostech Sdn. Bhd. held the forum, “Cybersecurity in Smart Manufacturing” at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) headquarters.
Cybersecurity addresses the practices in protecting computers, servers, mobile devices, networks and data from cyber-attacks, unauthorized access and breaches.
As the industry continue to growth towards digitalisation, it would also exposed to new types of risks and vulnerabilities.
Therefore, in order to mitigate these risk, the forum structured to prepare companies to embrace the industry 4.0 with cybersecurities as the foundation to protect a growing ecosystem.

The forum, officiated by Y. Bhg. Dato’ Lokman Hakim Ali, Secretary General of MITI, focused on the the importance of cybersecurity and smart manufacturing in the adoption of Industry 4.0.
