KUALA LUMPUR, 12 February 2020 – CIMB Bank Berhad and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (collectively “CIMB” or “the Bank”) have arranged for a number of reliefs for its customers that have been affected by the current Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) epidemic.
CIMB’s consumer banking customers who have been impacted by the virus will be eligible for a restructuring and rescheduling of their loans to ease their burden. CIMB’s business customers who have been impacted by the Coronavirus can also approach the Bank to discuss and reschedule their payment arrangements.

We would also like to reassure our customers that all cases will be given due consideration. We hope that all the measures put in place will provide some relief to those customers impacted by the virus. CIMB is also open to the possibility of extending repayment periods for customers, where necessary.”

For insurance/takaful policyholders, CIMB’s bank assurance partners* have also officially announced that they will extend their coverage under the respective existing policies** for policyholders who have been impacted by the 2019-nCoV.
