KUALA LUMPUR, 12 May 2020 – Money Compass Media Group has launched Celik Wang, a new media platform moderated in Bahasa Malaysia that will focus on covering corporate and financial news locally and abroad as well as the latest financial-related issues faced by Malaysians.
The platform was launched online using the Zoom tele-conferencing application in order to adhere to the government’s implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) and to ensure that everyone involved in the launching event remains in good safety.
Celik Wang, which has been in operation since early 2020, is the third news media platform to be established by Money Compass Media Group where the first two platforms are moderated in Mandarin and English.
“Celik Wang aims to help achieve the Group’s mission of enhancing the financial literacy of Malaysians from all races and backgrounds. During these uncertain times, financial literacy is indeed essential for people to have in order to be able to better manage their livelihood,” said Amy Seok, Chief Executive Officer of Money Compass Media.
Celik Wang also aims to be the one-stop platform for owners and operators of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to acquire information, guides, and tips on how to develop strategies to enhance their businesses as well as to provide guidance for those planning to start their own businesses.
The launching of Celik Wang was officiated by Datuk Seri Azman Ujang, former Chairman of Bernama and senior advisor of MyLIFE Association. The event also had a short slot with Abang Abu Mekanik Wang who shared some important financial tips that can be practiced during the MCO.
Just like what the Group has provided on their Mandarin and English platforms, they will also be hosting webinars and seminars in Bahasa Malaysia on the Celik Wang platform to discuss interesting financial and business topics catered for individuals, professionals, and SME businesses.
The launching event can be rewatched at Celik Wang’s Facebook page.
