KUALA LUMPUR – Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now more important than ever for SMEs, who are the backbone of the Malaysian economy, to get connected to the right funding and digital solutions. Max Capital Management Holding Ltd and Money Compass Media launched Malaysia’s first-ever SME e-Fair as a digital platform that will help SMEs to do just that.
The organisers will also be taking on the Merdeka festive opportunity by conducting a follow-up event, the 1st Merdeka Digital e-Fair & SME e-Fair in Malaysia on 27-29 August.
The SME e-Fair is segmented into three parts which will run simultaneously: virtual exhibition, cloud conference, and SME marketplace. Visitors can explore a preview of the SME e-Fair e-booths on 11-12 August before getting the full virtual experience of the e-Fair during the Merdeka Digital e-Fair.
The cloud conference will consist of back-to-back webinars and talks given by experienced and credible speakers from various government bodies, associations, and corporations such as PERKESO, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), SME Corporation Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, and Maybank, among many others.
The third segment of the SME e-Fair is the Marketplace, a virtual space for SMEs, organisations, and associations to promote their products and services to the masses. The showcase of the Marketplace which is live online today aims to attract more SMEs, organisations, and associations to be part of the virtual, one-of-a-kind experience and open their own e-booth on the platform.
The SME Association of Malaysia National Vice President, Chin Chee Seong was present during the launching to give an officiating speech. He points out that the SME e-Fair will highly benefit SMEs since he strongly believes that with getting the help from the right solution providers, SMEs are able to emerge stronger post-MCO which in turn will result in better contribution to the national economy.
The SME e-Fair is sponsored by AmBank Group, SQL, Exabytes, Quest Group, Xeersoft, and Allianz. The event is also supported by more than 30 organisations including SME Association Malaysia, Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF), BNI KL South, Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association (PUMM), and Muslim Business Network Association of Malaysia (MUBIN).
The launching can be viewed on the SME e-Fair official Facebook page.
