PETALING JAYA – Taylor’s University has appointed Andy See Teong Leng, the Founder and Managing Director of Perspective Strategies as an Adjunct Professor in its School of Media and Communication. Andy is also the President of the Public Relations and Communications Association of Malaysia (PRCA Malaysia) and Regional Vice President for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region of the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN), one of the world’s leading independent PR agency networks.

As Adjunct Professor, Andy will provide industry experience and insights to the University in curriculum planning and development. He will also facilitate industry links between academia, industry players, communication professionals, students and the community.

“I am truly humbled by the opportunity to work with the faculty and students of Taylor’s University, particularly the School of Media and Communication. The opportunity to bridge the gap between the industry, academia and graduates is certainly important for the future growth of the PR and Communication profession. After all, the pace of change that is happening in the marketplace right now is swift and unprecedented,” said Andy See.

Taylor’s University is ranked the top private university in Malaysia and Southeast Asia based on the latest QS World University Rankings. The University has the distinction of being one of the few Asian universities rated 5 Stars for online learning, standing alongside other notable universities in the world.

“The market has been and will continue to be disrupted. It will be crucial for us to work together to develop industry relevant skills for our local talents and this can only be done through the close collaboration of each and every one of us from the industry, academia and students,” concluded Andy See.

Andy founded Perspective Strategies in 2006 after spending more than 10 years with leading multinational and Malaysian consultancies including The Boston Consulting Group and Edelman. Recently, Andy founded the Communications Leadership Academy, a training and development brand focused on delivering leadership-centred communications solutions.
