KUALA LUMPUR – Affin Bank Berhad (AFFINBANK) would like to inform that a staff of the Bank at its Head Office – Menara Affin, Kuala Lumpur has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now undergoing treatment as of 15 October.
The Bank will be providing the employee and his / her family the necessary support and guidance. All staff in immediate contact with the affected staff will be screened and tested for COVID-19.
AFFINBANK’s headquarters at Menara Affin at Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur, will be closed on Friday, 16 October 2020 for sanitisation purposes. It will re-open on Monday, 19 October 2020.
All the necessary precautionary measures have been undertaken by the Bank to mitigate risks of infection to other staff and customers. All staff on the affected floor have vacated the premise and will work from home.
The Bank is also conducting detailed contact tracing with all employees and other parties that the infected employee may have come into contact with.
The affected office space, as well as common areas such as elevators and toilets are being cleaned and disinfected accordingly. Disinfection will also be carried out in the entire building.
The Bank is also taking all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its staff and customers in the bank’s premises. All staff have been advised to practice self-hygiene and adhere closely to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The Bank wishes to assure our stakeholders that during this period, its operations remain unaffected in line with its business continuity plan, which includes backup systems, recovery facilities, remote working arrangements and alternative communications channels.
