Cultivating good financial habits in the younger generation is more important than giving them a lot of money, do you agree? Everyone dreams of a happy, financially secured life with our loved ones, but many of us are still constantly trying to overcome financial challenges in life.

Two-thirds of Malaysians are said to be financially illiterate; worse still, many are considered to be in the B40 poverty status with no savings and not enough to see them through retirement. Lacking financial literacy is the root of all financial problems.

Now, are we wise enough to realise the value of money? Do we know how to manage what we earn, what we should spend on, and how to do budgeting?

This leads to the importance of everyone’s duty to teach children and the younger generation about financial literacy, in the same way as we place importance on their education. It is time for the future citizens and backbone of Malaysia, the young generation, to be financially literate.

Inviting Malaysians to participate in the uLearnMONEY Financial Literacy Video Contest with the aim to cultivate financial literacy awareness among today’s younger generation and through the objective of fostering good family bonding and strong relationships whilst creating the video contents at home. Create your video with one of the given themes and stand a chance to win amazing prizes.

The video contest is organised by ulearnMONEY and Master Money Kids, jointly organised by Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perpaduan Komuniti Malaysia (PKPKM), Datuk Arif Shah Academy, E2E Academy, and MyLIFE Association, and supported by the Penang State Government. Its Media Partners are Money Compass and Celik Wang while its Strategic Partners are Quantum Metal and Abundance Advisory.

The launching of the uLearnMONEY Financial Literacy Video Contest will be organised on February 9 at 10am via the Zoom platform at the link http://bit.ly/36ytRJb.

For those interested in participating in the video contest, please fill in the online entry form and submit your video before April 30, 2021.
