KUALA LUMPUR – The National Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL) will boost the local industry’s growth in advancing the competitiveness of business sectors globally, said VentureTECH, reported Bernama.
Its managing director, Dr. Norida Abd Rahman said local industries welcomed the support and policy boosting initiatives from the government to help businesses through the economic shutdown, maintain jobs and remain competitive.
“MyDIGITAL will impact investors’ commitment to develop local Bumiputera technology leaders. In our continuous pursuit to develop technology leaders in the high growth, high value-added and emerging industries, we will be committed to the Blueprint’s Six Strategic Thrusts towards accomplishing an inclusive socio-economic development,” she said in a statement, on February 19.
She said VentureTECH as an impact investor to date has built 23 technology leaders, generated highly skilled employment, and helped boost economic growth.
Earlier on February 19, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin launched MyDIGITAL which is aimed at accelerating the country’s transformation into a technologically-advanced economy by 2030.
Among other things, the initiative aims to enhance digital literacy, social wellbeing and environmental sustainability in the country.
