KUALA LUMPUR – AmBank has announced Malaysia’s first ever fully end-to-end electronic business current account opening for SMEs on June 14 that provides users with contactless onboarding in the midst of this pandemic.
The contactless onboarding provides an option for business sustainability and retail SMEs would be allowed to experience growth and obtain new opportunities on the horizon by fully utilising AmBank’s digital capabilities, even with physical restrictions during the Movement Control Orders.
Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, Group Chief Executive Officer of AmBank Group, noted that they are continuously working to curate seamless customer experiences by integrating the use of digital innovations with their customers in mind.
“We believe that banking institutions play an important role in supporting the development and growth of the SME segment. Our end-to-end digital onboarding solution will allow SMEs to fast track their digitisation journey, especially in the wake of the current pandemic,” said Datuk Iswaraan Suppiah, Group Chief Operations Officer of AmBank Group.
This is fully in line with the efforts made by the government in digitalising SMEs and establishing AmBanks’s commitment to ensure SMEs are fully equipped in dealing with the new normal, he added.
