KUALA LUMPUR, 18 October 2021 – Incentives worth RM2,550 for onboarding vendors are up for grabs on Jocom MShopping Sdn. Bhd. (JOCOM). JOCOM, the leading MCommerce groceries platform in Malaysia, is collaborating with Malaysia Digital Economic Corporation (MDEC) to launch the incentive programme, Go-eCommerce Onboarding, under Belanjawan 2021 (Go-eCommerce).
“The Go-eCommerce programme is aligned with our ongoing efforts to bring more micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs and SMEs) on board to offer their groceries and household products online to consumers in Malaysia,” said Sharon Goh, JOCOM’s Chief Operating Officer. “It is a good launching pad for those who are starting out as they can now offer their products online without paying a single sen.”
“The ultimate goal of the Go-eCommerce programme is to assist MSMEs and SMEs in accelerating their digital transformation journey during this pandemic,” she continued. The RM2,500 worth of incentives include various value-added services to MSMEs and SMEs such as product listing, design, marketing and advertising of the vendor’s products on the JOCOM platform as well as customer service, warehousing, packing, and delivery across Malaysia for the first year. “The vendor only needs to deliver the products to our Kuala Lumpur warehouse, and JOCOM will take care of the rest,” said Goh.
The warehouse can store items in up to three (3) different temperatures – room, chilled and frozen. “We run our own in-house logistics fleet to deliver products to Klang Valley customers and outsource deliveries outside of Klang Valley to our logistics partner. As such, we can only deliver room-temperature products to consumers outside of the Klang Valley,” Goh explained.
The Go-eCommerce programme is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Interested parties would need to sign a vendor onboarding contract with JOCOM and submit all the relevant documents from 1 July to 31 December 2021.
