KUALA LUMPUR – Yayasan Prihatin Nasional (PRIHATIN) in collaboration with Federation of Malaysia Business Associations (FMBA), Malaysia Literacy in Financial Education Association (MyLIFE), and Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation has held a Charity Night in conjunction with MyMalaysia Awards 2021 on November 25 at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak, Menara 1 Bank Rakyat officiated by YB Tuan Muslimin Bin Yahaya, Deputy Minister from Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) to represent Tan Sri Noh Bin Haji Omar, Minister from Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC).
The charity night involving 500 participants from all business communities in Malaysia was held to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and corporate entrepreneurs to rise in the spirit of the Malaysian Family towards the country’s economic recovery to face post-COVID-19 pandemic challenges.
The charity night was also organised to raise funds for educational charity activities as well as financial funds for the Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The ceremony also saw the organisers handing over a replica cheque contribution of RM20,000.00 to the Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation. There were several categories awarded on the night of the ceremony, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, Corporate & Entrepreneurship Excellence Award, Informative Media Recognition Award, Caring Activist Excellence Award, Social Impact Excellence Award, and Community Service Excellence Award.
Among the recipients of the MyMalaysia Lifetime Achievement Awards are YBhg. Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar (Chairman of MAIWP) for the Lifetime Achievement Award in Islamic Finance, YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Ir. Dr. Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar (Vice Chancellor of UNITAR International University) for the Lifetime Achievement Award for Academic Excellence, YB Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Mohd Radzi (Bernama Chairman / President of OKU Sentral) for the Lifetime Achievement Award for Humanity, and YBhg. Puan Sri Maniseh Adam (Patron of Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation) for the Welfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
Deputy Minister of MEDAC, YB Tuan Muslimin Bin Yahaya in his speech stated “This ceremony is a wonderful initative to give recognition to the achievements shown by entrepreneurs from all sectors while making entrepreneurship as one of the main areas that help contribute to economic recovery.”
The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Dato’ Suriani Binti Dato’ Ahmad (Secretary General of MEDAC), Datuk Norliza Abdul Rahim (Chairman of UDA Holdings Berhad), Datuk Abdul Malik Abdullah (Chairman of FMBA and Economic Advisor & PRIHATIN International), Dato’ Mohd Aizuddin Ghazali (Chief Executive Officer of PRIHATIN), and Ms Amy Seok (Chairman of MyLIFE).
