KUALA LUMPUR – Money Compass Media (M) Sdn Bhd and International Business Alliance (IBA) will be organising two highly anticipated events within the Chinese business community, the virtual ASEAN Chinese Book of Records and Awards 2021 and the ASEAN Chinese Awards and Charity Night which will be held physically.
The virtual awards ceremony is scheduled to be on December 10 via Zoom, meanwhile, the physical awards ceremony will be held on December 12 at Hee Lai Ton Restaurant Shaw Parade. Both events will be officiated by YB Senator Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry.
“With the theme, “Building Something from Nothing, Setting an Example for Us”, the objective of this event is to value the hard work, self-improvement, and ingenuity of every Chinese business community. Their ancestors started from nothing, yet their enterprising spirit saw them create great businesses that endure to this day,” said the joint organisers in a statement.
The ASEAN Chinese Book of Records and Awards 2021 is also supported by SME Association of Malaysia (SMEAM), Malaysian Chinese Cultural Society (MCCS), and Federation of Chinese Associations of Malaysia (FCAM).
“The ASEAN Chinese Book of Records and Awards 2021 is more than just an awards ceremony. It symbolises and celebrates the spirit of perseverance and hard work of the overseas Chinese business community in Southeast Asia,” said Ms Amy Seok, Organising Director of the ASEAN Chinese Book of Records and Awards 2021.
“In this spirit, the organisers of the event are inviting all overseas Chinese-owned businesses to participate including old, established brands, young and upcoming businesses, as well as upstanding figures in the Chinese business community to participate,” said the joint organisers.
The award categories of the ASEAN Chinese Awards 2021 are the Outstanding Enterprise Award, Distinguished Business Award, and Eminent Person Award. Startup awardees must be registered and should have been in operation for at least one year, while other eligible awardees must be registered and have been in operation for at least five years.
