KUALA LUMPUR – MyFintech Week 2022 (MyFW 2022) recently unveiled part of its finance and tech speakers line-up as it gears up for an insightful week from January 24 to 28, 2022.

Themed “Advancing Digitalisation for Recovery, Sustainability, Inclusion”, MyFW 2022 is expected to cover a wide range of pressing issues facing the future of the financial industry. It is anchored on seven key priorities: Sustainability, Resiliency, New Realities for Finance, Economy, Financial Health & Inclusion, Startups, and Regulations.

“Experts from around the world will be sharing their perspectives at MyFW 2022. Their insights can inform and inspire action on critical issues that the financial sector needs to tackle. The financial sector needs to be well-positioned to support our economic transformation towards a more innovative, sustainable and digital future”, said BNM Assistant Governor Adnan Zaylani Mohamad Zahid.

MyFW 2022 will feature more than 100 speakers including YBM Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Finance; Tan Sri Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus, Governor of BNM; Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); Gillian Tett, Chair of Editorial Board & Editor-at-large (US), The Financial Times; and Kevin Hartman, Chief Analytics Evangelist at Google.

The main conference from Day 1 to Day 4 will feature a combination of keynote addresses, tech talks, panel sessions and fireside chats on pertinent issues affecting Malaysia’s future financial and economic landscape. This includes climate resiliency, the future of money and emerging technologies.

Malaysia’s Financial Sector Blueprint 2022-2026 will also be launched on Day 1, followed by a discussion to integrate perspectives from BNM and the industry in forging a shared vision on the future of Malaysia’s financial industry.

MyFW 2022 also brings highly popular workshop-style sessions through a series of masterclasses with industry experts to deep-dive into specific subject matters.

Beyond the main conference and masterclasses, MyFW 2022 also provides opportunities for businesses to access support for growth and innovation on Day 4 and 5. Amongst others, start-ups can schedule one-on-one consulting sessions on regulatory and compliance issues.

At the same time, SMEs and businesses can access dedicated channels of support covering issues such as SME digitalisation, talent, and funding & investments. MyFW 2022 accelerator programmes will also feature 15 innovations aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, with live demos on Day 4.
