KUALA LUMPUR – Shoppymore is a new e-commerce platform which offers buyers and sellers a safe and rewarding online shopping experience.

Despite being an up-and-comer having only started being introduced to the Malaysian online market in 2021, Shoppymore Founder and Group CEO, Dato Sri Dr. Barani Karuna Karan has plans for the platform to further expand this year with a target revenue of RM10 million.

“We have a comprehensive and thorough mechanism with a three-fold objective. Firstly, we search for ethical and trustworthy vendors; secondly, we ensure and verify their products are genuine, authentic and of good quality for Shoppymore; and last but not least, we provide an extensive customer and vendor support system to help solve problems, educate and assist where necessary,” he explained.

Since its foray into Malaysia’s online marketplace last year, Shoppymore attracted 100 sellers to the platform to which Dr. Barani aims to increase by tenfold to 1,000 in 2022.

“Plans are also in the pipeline to expand to India, Indonesia, and the Philippines to bring Malaysian-made items in cross border commerce. This will bring Shoppymore’s brand value to a wider market,” he added.

Although the goal of increasing sellers is a focus, he said the intention was mainly to ensure the Shoppymore platform is recognised as a world-class marketplace just like Amazon, Flipkart and eBay.

“We aim to be the preferred choice for our stakeholders through five-star quality products and services. We want to achieve these high standards via our ideals of transparency, uncompromising ethics and also by giving back to society,” he continued.

Additionally, he stated that the primary focus of Shoppymore is to support micro entrepreneurs as well as local ‘Made in Malaysia’ products particularly those within the halal and rural-based industry. The support of Go e-commerce (MDEC) and PEDAS is key to this cause.

Concurrently, Shoppymore’s unique selling proposition is their personalised service and communication, which Dr. Barani believes when paired with transparency, are important for success in the e-commerce market.

All these values jointly promote Shoppymore’s ambition to be an e-business gateway that helps mankind while bridging the gap between creation and consumption.

To ensure that, Shoppymore enforces strict guidelines and rules for vendors to maintain product authenticity. Vendors are required to adhere to a verification process which includes proper documentation, video-conference interviews, and industrial site visits. Unethical and fraudulent vendors are terminated and blacklisted.

In return for that, vendors may utilise the strategically well-positioned Shoppymore platform to increase their traffic. This is especially helpful for the youth, micro-entrepreneuers and SMEs particularly those in the sub-urban areas as it gives them the opportunity to venture into e-commerce. Shoppymore also offers tutorial webinars, forums and training sessions covering a wide range of subjects related to online retail and digital strategies.

The Shoppymore platform currently hosts over 100 sellers which includes well-known brands like Destina 1 International Sdn Bhd, Singer Malaysia, Viqmax, Adway Malaysia, Asia IT Compoent, aLL – the plus size store, Faerahijab, Groway (Solaray), Haranet Marketing, HajiWan (Richness Foods Industry), Stretch Film, Three R Florist, BENS PHARMACARE GROUP, Vilvam Vision, Tree Leaf Trading and etc.

The platform receives an average of up to 1,000 visitors daily with the estimated transaction value of RM50,000.

Customers of Shoppymore can shop in peace knowing with assurance that their transactions are safe and secure and the products they purchase are of good quality from trusted sellers. Shoppymore also has the option for customers to choose their delivery service with some products offering a 14-day return policy.

First-time customers get RM5 off their first purchase and an extra RM10 worth of reward points from Shoppymore.

Shoppymore’s interface is a secure link that is supported by AI. It offers a fast and responsive experience to users on mobile and PC. It is also well-organised, and simple to navigate through. The Search Engine Optimisation tools make it attractive and user-friendly.

Shoppymore also has a multi-store synchronisation system which enables sellers to integrate existing stores on Shopee or Lazada within minutes in the set-up of their Shoppymore store.

Shoppymore is an e-commerce platform dedicated to becoming the world’s top customer-centric and pleasant firm by combining all of these vital features, which look after the interests of both sellers and buyers concurrently.

“We have worked out a ‘win-win’ situation for both sellers and buyers with a comprehensive e-marketstreet ecosystem in order to achieve our goal of creating a made-in-Malaysia online shopping platform on par with other world class players. We intend to achieve this through working alongside different industry players and achieve the goals and successes together. This is the Shoppymore way,” Dr. Barani concluded.
