KUALA LUMPUR – CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd, the wholly owned subsidiary of CTOS Digital Berhad, is empowering consumers to take control of their financial health through a referral programme for MyCTOS Score Report self-checks.

Having recently reached the milestone of two million CTOS self-check subscribers, the programme starts at an opportune time, where credit responsibility and financial health is imperative as the country advances out of the pandemic phase.

“As the leading credit reporting agency in Malaysia, we aim to empower as many people as possible with the right tools and knowledge to make good financial decisions and checking your MyCTOS credit report is the first step of that journey,” explained Eric Hamburger, Group CEO of CTOS Digital Berhad.

“The increased growth we have seen in subscribers for CTOS self-checks tells us that consumers as a whole are becoming more aware about their credit health. We want to reward them for taking control of the financial health and encourage them to empower others to do the same,” he added.

The CTOS Refer and Reward programme will incentivise subscribers to check their scores and refer their friends and family to do the same, by providing cash prizes of RM2,000 weekly through a cumulative rewards points system. The programme will run for five weeks from June 27 until July 31, 2022 as part of CTOS’ ongoing financial literacy efforts.

“Now that we are entering the endemic phase of COVID, the impact to the economy will lessen but full recovery will take time. During this period, it is of greater importance to keep an eye on your credit score as access to credit will still be challenging.

“It will be the people who have best maintained their financial health that can take advantage of new financial opportunities that arise, as we move back to a normal way of life,” Hamburger said.
