KUALA LUMPUR, 8 November 2022 – Touch ‘n Go Group has expanded its cross-border payment capabilities to Mainland China through TNG Digital Sdn Bhd (TNG Digital).
This capacity is made possible by Ant Group’s cooperation with Alipay+, a suite aof global cross-border digital payments and marketing solutions.
TNG Digital CEO Alan Ni expressed his company’s delight in continuing its collaboration with Alipay+ on cross-border payment solutions and expanding its service region beyond Singapore, Japan, and South Korea.
“Touch ‘n Go eWallet is Malaysia’s first eWallet that can be used to make payments in mainland China.”
“This bodes well for all our consumers travelling there, as they will appreciate the simplicity of making cashless payments in ringgit as well,” Ni added.
Ni anticipates that consumers would enjoy the same seamless ease of utilising Touch ‘n Go eWallet in China as they would in Malaysia, with the certainty that their transactions will be safe and secure.

“Through simple adaptation, more than 2.5 million merchants worldwide may access and better service the rising user base of various top digital payments providers as digital transformation takes root throughout the world,” Zhao added.
