KUALA LUMPUR, 15 November (Bernama) — Members of the Asian EXIM Bank Forum (AEBF) will sign a joint statement on financial support for green development tomorrow as part of their 27th annual meeting, which began today.
The Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd is hosting the three-day AEBF annual meeting, which concludes on November 17, 2022 (EXIM Bank Malaysia).
Its Chairman, Datuk Azman Mahmud, stated that the forum members must deliberate and evolve in order to facilitate sustainable and resilient business growth through collaborations.
It is through these partnerships and collaborations that we will be able to continue to grow and work together to increase our cooperation post-pandemic and play a much more critical role in tackling global issues such as climate change and addressing the fund gap,” he said yesterday at the AEBF welcoming dinner.
According to Azman, Malaysia’s bank has been investing in sectors that support the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda, such as renewable energy power plants, waste management, healthcare, and road infrastructure.
