  • Both business leaders and employees rank data breaches as the top risk of Agentic AI (50% of leaders, 55% of employees). Over-reliance on AI leading to reduced human oversight is also a major concern (41% of leaders, 52% of employees).
  • More than half of business leaders (59%) acknowledge that their organisations’ governance policies for Agentic AI are not very well defined or not defined at all, while nearly nine in ten employees (87%) are not familiar with their organisation’s governance policies for Agentic AI usage.
  • While about half of employees (5% strongly agree, 46% somewhat agree) acknowledge their part in ensuring the responsible use of Agentic AI, only a quarter (2% to a large extent, 23% to a moderate extent) feel equipped to act responsibly.
  • Employees also feel that attending regular training on working with AI (51%), having clear policies on AI use in their workplace (45%) and explanations on the uses and limitations of AI (48%), will make them more comfortable working alongside Agentic AI systems.

SINGAPORE, Oct. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — As Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) gains traction across workplaces, cybersecurity and governance are critical areas in adoption efforts. Both business leaders and employees cite data breaches (50% of leaders, 55% of employees) and overreliance on AI leading to reduced human oversight (41% of leaders, 52% of employees) as the top risks in adopting Agentic AI systems.

In fact, more than half of business leaders (59%) say their organisations’ governance policies for Agentic AI are not well defined or not defined at all, and nearly nine in ten employees (87%) are not familiar with such policies, leaving both groups unprepared to manage the associated risks effectively.

About half of employees (5% strongly agree, 46% somewhat agree) agree they have a part to play in ensuring ethical AI practices, yet only a quarter (2% to a large extent, 23% to a moderate extent) feel adequately equipped to do so.


These are some of the key findings from NTUC LearningHub’s White Paper Report on Agentic AI for Workplace Resilience, which surveyed 150 business leaders and 300 full-time working professionals to examine the growing prominence of Agentic AI and its implications for cybersecurity and data governance.

According to the report, two in five business leaders (39% not very prepared, 7% not at all prepared) acknowledge that their organisations face readiness gaps in responding to cybersecurity incidents caused by Agentic AI systems. The key barriers identified include a lack of shared understanding across teams (42%), conflicting priorities or goals between functions (37%) and limited internal expertise (36%).

Compounding the issue, four in five employees (59% not very confident, 23% not confident at all) admit they lack confidence in identifying security risks when working with Agentic AI. Yet employees remain optimistic as many believe that attending regular training on working with AI (51%), having clear policies on AI use in their workplace (45%) and explanations on the uses and limitations of AI (48%), will make them more comfortable working alongside Agentic AI systems.
