KUALA LUMPUR: Zoom Communications, Inc has launched ZoomMate, an agentic AI work surface aimed at helping users turn workplace discussions into completed tasks, documents and business workflows.

The new platform reflects Zoom’s wider move beyond video meetings and collaboration tools into what it describes as a “system of action” for modern work, where conversations are linked directly to follow-up, execution and completed deliverables.

ZoomMate is now generally available in North America, with pricing starting at US$20 per user per month, including AI credits. Zoom said availability in other regions, including Asia Pacific, is expected to be rolled out later this year.

The company said ZoomMate is designed to reduce the friction caused by fragmented workplace tools and incomplete workflows. It connects meeting and collaboration context with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Jira, Slack, ServiceNow, Workday, Google and Microsoft tools.

Through the platform, users can search across Zoom, the web and connected third-party systems, generate content from meeting context and automate follow-up actions across different business applications.

Zoom Chief Product Officer Russell Dicker said ZoomMate is built around the company’s position at the centre of workplace conversations.

“What drew me to Zoom was a simple truth: no other company sits where Zoom sits, at the centre of every conversation where work decisions get made,” he said.“Before, during and after the meeting, ZoomMate connects what was decided to what needs to happen next across every system where your work lives.”

ZoomMate combines agentic search, workflow orchestration and content completion. Its search capabilities allow users to find information across Zoom Meetings, Phone, Chat, enterprise files, customer records, sits service tickets, project updates, knowledge articles and connected collaboration platforms.

The company said results are grounded in an organisation’s connected knowledge and designed to respect enterprise access controls, permissions and governance.

Unlike conventional enterprise search tools that mainly index documents, ZoomMate connects files, business records and the conversations behind them.

Zoom said the platform’s orchestration layer can identify next steps from meeting context, initiate follow-up actions, schedule events in Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, update records, create tasks, draft customer communications and trigger onboarding or support workflows.

It can also turn meetings into finished work, including presentations, documents, spreadsheets, reports and project plans. Zoom said this helps teams move faster from discussion to execution, while allowing outputs to be updated as decisions evolve.

Moor Insights & Strategy Vice President and Principal Analyst Melody Brue said the market is shifting from isolated AI assistants towards tools that can better connect decisions, data and workflows across organisations.

“Many AI offerings operate on the edges of work, with limited access to the real-time context affecting decisions,” she said.

“ZoomMate approaches this differently because it sits inside the conversations where those decisions unfold. This can give it live business context and help make its recommendations more grounded in the work that teams are actually doing.”

Zoom said ZoomMate can support multiple functions across an organisation. Knowledge workers can use it to pull information from Google Docs, Jira and Slack before meetings, while sales teams can retrieve Salesforce account details, update opportunity records and draft follow-up proposals after customer calls.

Product and engineering teams can use ZoomMate to identify open Jira issues, surface relevant discussions and turn action items into structured plans or status updates. Human resource and operations teams can use it to answer policy questions, route employee requests and trigger onboarding workflows.

Zoom said ZoomMate is being introduced gradually and may not be accessible to all users immediately.
