JAKARTA, Indonesia, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (“GCL SI”) will present EcoPower Mate for the first time in Indonesia at Oil & Gas Indonesia 2026, taking place Sept. 9–12 at the Jakarta International Expo.

GCL SI showcases its EcoPower Mate mobile PV-storage solution at Oil & Gas Indonesia 2026 in Jakarta

Designed for temporary and remote industrial worksites, EcoPower Mate is a relocatable solar power platform that can be integrated with battery energy storage, energy management systems and diesel generators. At Booth 6521 in Hall 3, GCL SI will demonstrate how the system can serve exploration sites, temporary camps, construction areas and other operations with limited access to the power grid.

Power That Moves with the Operation

Remote oil, gas and mining projects often depend on diesel generators for reliable power. However, diesel generation also requires fuel transportation and storage, regular maintenance and the management of noise and local emissions. These challenges become more complex as project teams and power demand shift from one worksite to another.

Conventional solar installations are generally built as permanent infrastructure. EcoPower Mate takes a different approach: its photovoltaic array can be transported in a container-compatible format, deployed close to the load and relocated as operational requirements change.

The portfolio includes wheeled and rail-mounted configurations. The wheeled WG20-A model incorporates 96 photovoltaic modules, provides 46.56 kWp of installed capacity and features an automated deployment mechanism for sites requiring frequent relocation. The rail-mounted model is intended for larger installations and projects that remain at one location for longer periods.

System configurations can be tailored to a project’s terrain, duration, relocation frequency, site-preparation requirements and other operating conditions.

Integrating Solar, Storage and Diesel Generation

EcoPower Mate is designed to complement—not necessarily replace—the diesel generators used at remote sites. It can integrate solar generation, battery storage and existing generators within a coordinated hybrid power system.

Under suitable daylight conditions, the solar array can supply site loads and charge the battery system. Stored energy can help meet demand when solar output declines, while diesel generators remain available during periods of higher demand or when additional backup power is needed.

An energy management system coordinates the available power sources to reduce unnecessary generator runtime while maintaining reliable site operations.

Each system can be configured around the site’s load profile, existing generator capacity, solar resources, project duration and relocation requirements. This allows operators to introduce solar generation and battery storage while retaining their existing power infrastructure.

Potential oil and gas applications include shore bases, exploration and construction support areas, temporary offices, personnel camps, communications equipment, monitoring systems and lighting. Any deployment would be subject to the site’s electrical specifications, safety requirements and hazardous-area classification.

In the mining sector, EcoPower Mate can supply exploration camps, drilling operations, temporary mine facilities, road construction, surveillance equipment and other loads that move as a project develops.

Building Partnerships to Address Local Operating Challenges

At Oil & Gas Indonesia 2026, GCL SI plans to meet with Indonesian operators to learn more about their power requirements and explore potential cooperation with mining companies, engineering, procurement and construction contractors, oilfield and mining service providers, equipment rental companies, distributors and local technical partners.

Discussions will focus on practical operating considerations, including generator usage, load profiles, fuel logistics, project duration, site conditions and relocation requirements. Based on each project’s needs, GCL SI will work with customers and partners to develop suitable combinations of solar generation, battery storage and diesel backup.

GCL SI’s capabilities span market development, equipment delivery, system integration, technical services and after-sales services. The company is seeking to work with Indonesian operators, contractors, distributors and service providers to adapt EcoPower Mate configurations to local project conditions and provide reliable project execution and long-term service in the country.

“Remote operations cannot compromise power reliability, but that does not mean every load must be supplied by a diesel generator at all times,” said Li Ming, Vice President of GCL SI. “By bringing EcoPower Mate to Indonesia for an in-person demonstration, we hope to engage directly with local operators, better understand their specific power challenges and work with customers and partners to develop practical solutions.”

Visitors are invited to meet the GCL SI team to discuss their site requirements and potential partnership opportunities.
