BERLIN, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Neakasa, a global provider of smart pet care solutions, announced at IFA 2026 in Berlin that its Riko smart wet-meal feeder has been named an IFA 2026 Innovation Award Honoree, recognizing its innovative approach to automated wet-meal feeding for cats.
Unlike conventional automatic feeders that store prepared wet food, Riko stores freeze-dried food in its dry form and automatically grinds and mixes it with water at scheduled feeding times. Each meal is prepared on demand according to the selected portion and hydration level, offering a new approach to incorporating freshly prepared wet meals into a cat’s daily feeding routine.
Riko supports adjustable water-to-food ratios from 1:1 to 5:1, more than 20 scheduled meals per day, and portions from 1 to 15 grams. A low-entry design with an approximately 26 cm entrance makes access easier for kittens and senior cats.
