JINZHAI, China, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On Sept. 28, Gotion has launched global delivery for what will be Africa’s largest AC-coupled energy storage project. Fifty heavy-duty trucks loaded with its self-developed Gotion Grid 5MWh storage systems departed simultaneously from its Jinzhai and Nantong facilities, marking the start of full-scale delivery.
Gotion Delivers Africa’s Largest AC-Coupled Storage Project
Gotion Grid will serve Egypt’s Nefertiti and Horus projects—the country’s first large-scale standalone storage projects and, once completed, Africa’s largest standalone storage facilities. Developed by AMEA Power and built by China Energy Engineering Group, and powered by Gotion’s solutions, they will strengthen grid stability, support solar and wind integration, and advance Egypt’s 2030 clean energy goals. Upgraded for extreme heat, sandstorms and salt fog, Gotion’s systems offer high-voltage stability, high safety and millisecond-level response, enhancing solar consumption at Benban and providing flexible peak-shaving for the Zafarana wind farm.
Gotion’s ability to complete the first shipment within three months of signing demonstrates its strength in large-scale storage integration, global supply chain coordination, and localized delivery.
