TANJUNG KARANG, Malaysia, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On October 31, Segi Fresh opened two new Fresh Mart outlets in Tanjung Karang, Selangor – Pusat Bandar and Taman Nilam, bringing its total presence in the district to three stores, as the Malaysian neighbourhood retail brand celebrates its 32nd anniversary.

The simultaneous openings mark Segi Fresh’s first dual-store launch within the same district, introducing a cluster-based expansion approach aimed at strengthening its presence in local communities and bringing fresh products and everyday essentials closer to more households.

The two new stores offer fresh vegetables, fruits, poultry, meat, seafood, groceries and household necessities. They also continue the rollout of Segi Fresh’s refreshed brand identity and next-generation store concept, first introduced at its new Bidor, Perak, outlet in September.

“Opening two stores within the same district reflects how we are evolving our expansion strategy to serve communities more effectively. Our ambition is not simply to grow the number of outlets, but to improve accessibility, freshness, value and the overall shopping experience,” said Mr. Chia Ah Keong, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Segi Fresh.

The openings coincide with Segi Fresh’s “32 Tahun Legasi” anniversary campaign, featuring special promotions on selected fresh products and daily essentials from 30 October to 12 November 2026.

Customers can also participate in the “Top 1 Beli & Menang” lucky draw campaign, running until 31 December 2026, with prizes including a Perodua Alza, motorcycles and shopping vouchers, subject to eligibility and entry requirements.

At the new stores, opening celebrations include exclusive member rewards, selected free-product redemptions, RM5 return-visit vouchers and the “Kumpul & Tebus” programme. Additional activities at Taman Nilam include food sampling, mascot appearances and balloon giveaways.

Segi Fresh’s 32-year business heritage traces back to its first wholesale outlet established in 1994, building on founder Dato’ Chui Ah Hock’s entrepreneurial beginnings in traditional markets in 1984.

Today, the brand continues its transformation towards its vision, “To Be Malaysia’s Top 1 Fresh Mart,” with a commitment to freshness, affordability, convenience and customer experience.

The Tanjung Karang openings represent another step in fulfilling its mission of “Providing Freshness to Every Community.”
