Redefining the Home Cinema Market with 5,000 Lumens Brightness, Dual Laser Technology, and Dolby Vision® & HDR10+ Support
SEOUL, South Korea, March 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Global projector brand Optoma has officially launched its latest flagship 4K laser projector, UHC70LV. Featuring ultra-high brightness of 5,000 lumens, advanced dual-laser technology, and support for Dolby Vision® and HDR10+, this cutting-edge model is set to establish a new benchmark in the home cinema market.
The UHC70LV is one of the first 4K laser projectors to support both Dolby Vision® and HDR10+, optimizing HDR content playback using scene-by-scene metadata. While most projectors either support only HDR10 or just one of the premium HDR formats, the UHC70LV is designed to ensure the best possible visual experience across all content formats.
Additionally, it features Optoma’s latest PureEngine™ Ultra processor, enhancing HDR content with sharper details, smoother motion, and richer colors. Supporting 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, the UHC70LV delivers cinema-grade color accuracy, ensuring a truly immersive viewing experience.
The UHC70LV offers a projection size ranging from 30 inches (78 cm) to an impressive 301 inches (765 cm). With a throw ratio of 1.2:1 to 1.92:1, it can project images from distances of 1 meter to 10 meters. Thanks to its flexible installation features, the UHC70LV is ideal for various environments, including living rooms, dedicated home theater spaces, and commercial venues.
Although primarily designed as a home cinema projector, the UHC70LV also offers impressive gaming performance. One of its HDMI 2.1 ports supports a refresh rate of 240Hz at 1080p and 120Hz at 4K, making it a viable big-screen gaming display. With an input lag of just 8.5ms, it is well-suited for gamers who require ultra-fast response times for an optimized gaming experience.
The UHC70LV is equipped with the latest connectivity options, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. Additionally, its laser light source boasts a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, offering long-term durability. The projector operates at a low noise level of 25dB to 31dB, enabling an uninterrupted and immersive viewing experience even in quiet environments.
Gordon Wu, Head of Optoma APAC, stated, “Following the successful launch of the Optoma 4K Wave Series last year, we are excited to introduce the flagship UHC70LV to the Korean market. We hope to meet the high expectations of Korean consumers, who lead the market with their preference for top-tier specifications.”
The Optoma UHC70LV will make its first public debut at a special demonstration event on March 22 at Land Hall, 2nd floor of Electro land. Customers who pre-register for the event will receive special gifts and various promotional discounts.
