KUALA LUMPUR, 18 March 2026 – “We can go further when we are together”. This is the key message of SJPP’s (Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad) first Raya film, which captures the journey of Malaysian entrepreneurs and the enduring values of perseverance, collaboration and mutual support in building successful businesses.

The Raya film tells the story of three friends who run a seasonal business during the month of Ramadan. What begins as a modest venture gradually grows into an innovative enterprise as the trio work together, combining their skills, ideas and determination.
However, as the business expands, differences in perspectives and uncertainty begin to surface. The partners eventually decide to pursue separate paths, believing they might achieve more individually.

Not long after, they realise that the strength of their business was never built on individual effort, but on shared vision and complementary strengths. Recognising this, the three entrepreneurs reunite and rebuild their venture together, discovering that collaboration ultimately unlocks greater opportunities.
According to the Acting Principal Officer of SJPP, Juanita Rusmini Abdul Jalil, the storyline reflects the real journey of many Malaysian entrepreneurs.

“Entrepreneurship is rarely a smooth path. Many business owners face challenges and moments of uncertainty along the way. What matters is perseverance and the willingness to move forward together,” he said.
Juanita explained that the message portrayed in the Raya film mirrors the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) landscape in Malaysia, where businesses often begin small but have the potential to grow significantly when supported by the right ecosystem.
The Raya film reflects SJPP’s continuing journey, not only in managing Government guarantees, but also as an entity that seeks to build deeper and more meaningful connections with entrepreneurs.

The Government guarantee mechanism helps bridge the gap between entrepreneurial ambition and access to capital, ensuring that promising SMEs are not left behind due to limitations in financing structure.
“Just like the story portrayed in the film, success often comes from the combination of perseverance, collaboration and the right support system,” Juanita added.
In continuing to strengthen Malaysia’s SME ecosystem, SJPP hopes the Raya film will inspire entrepreneurs to remain resilient and continue pursuing opportunities.
