- Chlorine and chloramines: free chlorine reduction was at least 99.5%. Total chlorine reduction in the chloramine challenge ranged from 92.7% to 99.3%.
- Heavy metals: lead reduction ranged from 98.8% to greater than 99.6% across tests at different pH levels. AquaCo’s published copper results exceeded 99.9%.
PFAS analysis used US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 537.1:2020, with the initial reduction test referencing NSF/ANSI 53-2022. Chlorine and chloramine challenge tests referenced NSF/ANSI 42-2022. Lead and copper analysis used EPA Method 200.8. PFOA and PFOS are specific PFAS compounds; these results apply to those named substances.
