SHANGHAI, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) New Material Industry Show (NMIS) will take place from October 12 to 16, 2026, at Hall 7.2 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). In a major departure from traditional material exhibition formats, NMIS 2026 introduces a scenario-driven floor layout organized into six specialized “Material Islands.” Designed to streamline cross-sector procurement, this model allows international trade buyers to source complete end-to-end solutions—from foundational alloys and functional composites to processing equipment—tailored directly to their downstream product requirements.

1. Low-Altitude Economy & Commercial Aerospace — As the largest island of the show, this cluster highlights aerospace superalloys, titanium alloys, lightweight Al-Mg alloys, carbon fiber and aramid composites, eVTOL structures, rocket insulation, and ceramic-matrix composites. To bridge downstream applications directly with upstream sourcing, eVTOL manufacturer AutoFlight will display its complete aircraft alongside upstream raw material innovators, including Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical, Guangxi Nanning Aluminium, and Dongfang Tantalum.
2. New Energy: Dedicated to critical materials driving global carbon neutrality, this section highlights battery anodes/cathodes, solid-state battery materials, PV encapsulation films, hydrogen PEM, and phase-change storage. Debut Zones and Industrial Ecosystem Synergy
NMIS 2026 brings together front-end technology and regional industrial strength through two premier debuts—an AI Materials Zone and a Pilot Base Zone bringing together nearly 40 Shanghai materials pilot-scale builders.
Fostering a “one zone, one specialty” synergy, regional pavilions will present targeted industrial capabilities: G60 (Songjiang) on advanced fibers and humanoid-robot materials, Jinshan on green chemicals and carbon fiber, Baoshan on advanced metals, Qingpu on smart equipment and automotive, Fengxian Hangzhou Bay, alongside featured delegations from Liaoning and Chengdu.
