HONG KONG, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A KUN Group company has received approval-in-principle from the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for Type 1 (dealing in securities), Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities. The Type 1 and Type 4 scopes include virtual asset-related activities and the provision of services to retail clients, while the Type 9 scope covers general asset management.

This was KUN’s first application for these regulated activities, and it received approval-in-principle for all three. The Type 1 and Type 4 scopes also cover both virtual asset-related activities and retail client services. Against the SFC’s stringent fit-and-proper, competence and internal-control requirements, this represents an important milestone in KUN’s regulatory footprint in Hong Kong.
