The new localized scrubbing facility will help Malaysian critical infrastructure and enterprises fight off massive cyber attacks without compromising data sovereignty.

SINGAPORE and KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On October 5th 2026, at CyberDSA 2026 (Cyber Defence & Security Asia) held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Malaysian cybersecurity provider Zetvest Sdn Bhd (Booth 6183) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to become Nexusguard’s Authorized Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) for Malaysia.

The high-profile signing ceremony, witnessed by leadership from CyberSecurity Malaysia, marks a major milestone for the country’s digital resilience. Through this partnership, Zetvest is rolling out a fully managed, national-level DDoS scrubbing center. Powered by Nexusguard’s highly proven Bastions technology, the new localized facility will allow massive cyber attacks to be intercepted and cleaned right here in Malaysia.

This setup specifically caters to government agencies, banks, and telecommunication providers that require strict data sovereignty, ensuring their sensitive network traffic can be filtered domestically. Operating as an Authorized MSSP, Zetvest’s local Security Operations Center (SOC) will take on the heavy lifting. They will provide end-to-end management of these security services, allowing local organizations to access enterprise-grade, low-latency defense without the headache of managing the hardware themselves.

“This is a massive step forward for Malaysia’s digital defense. Our local enterprises need world-class DDoS protection, but they also need absolute certainty about where their data is going. By pairing Nexusguard’s technology with our local 24/7 Security Operations Center, we are giving them the best of both worlds: low-latency protection and guaranteed data sovereignty within our borders.”
Tuan Haji Azman Bin Zahari, Director of Zetvest Sdn Bhd

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Zetvest as our strategic MSSP partner. Zetvest understands the Malaysian cyber landscape inside and out. With their robust SOC capabilities managing our Bastions infrastructure on the ground, local organizations can rapidly shut down targeted attacks securely.”
Andy Ng, Chief Executive Officer at Nexusguard Pte Ltd

“When we talk about cybersecurity, we often talk about infrastructure, frameworks, and regulations. But what we are witnessing today is much simpler. It is two organisations deciding that Malaysia’s data should stay in Malaysia. And they are actually doing something about it. That is the spirit behind the CyberSecurity Malaysia Collaboration Program.”
YBrs. Encik Zulfeka Bin Zainal Abidin, General Manager, Business Development & Industry Affairs Division, CyberSecurity Malaysia

Key features of the new DDoS scrubbing center include:

  • Fully Managed Security: Zetvest’s local SOC will provide round-the-clock monitoring and rapid incident response, so clients don’t have to manage complex infrastructure themselves.
  • In-Country Scrubbing: All traffic is cleaned domestically to meet strict local regulatory and compliance standards set by national cyber agencies.
  • 200Gbps Capacity: Built on dedicated Nexusguard Bastions hardware to absorb even the heaviest volumetric attacks.
  • Unified Defense: Seamless protection covering both network infrastructure (Netshield) and critical web applications (Appshield).
